We’ve been bitten by the love bug and in particular, lately we have a slight obsession with love quotes. We asked our ladies what quotes were their favorites and we received a flurry of romantic responses that kept our office awing all morning.
Many people have a favorite love quote and those quotes hold special meanings but how can you incorporate them into your wedding?
If you have chosen to write your own vows consider adding your favorite love quote. Sheri has a family quote that she holds dear “All because two people fell in love.” and this would be perfect to include in her ceremony. Not every family has a personal love quote but well-known or even not well-known quotes are just as romantic.
A sweet idea to incorporate love quotes in your wedding is to add it to the table setting for everybody to see, they can be written on an elegant cloth napkin, on keepsake crystal, or even on small chalkboard. “Love is like the wind, you can’t see it but you can feel it.” would be a great choice for guests to read and remember as your wedding quote.
In your reception, you have flowers and candles but there is always room for another personal touch. Try finding a beautiful old frame and having your favorite quote written in calligraphy or find someone to paint it in gold or the colors of your wedding. Kristi’s favorite quote is, “For all our life and until death, together shall we be, hence forth until the end of eternity.” – Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. This timeless quote would be a lovely piece to take home after the reception and hang up in your living room.
Another idea could be to ask your guests to write their favorite love quotes, they could write them instead of signing a guestbook or do both. You could even make it a drawing. Pulling out the quotes people wrote in a raffle to dance with the bride or groom or find a fun way to share all these specials words with everybody you love.
Love is in the air, every day, every where, somebody, somewhere is walking with a little kick in their step, smiling to themselves and thinking about their special someone. Quotes are a poetic way to express your feelings in a powerful way and with that, I’ll leave you with one more love quote, Jen’s favorite. “Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same.” – Emily Bronte
