Color Ideas for Autumn Weddings

Todays a crisp, beautiful autumn day. Yesterday, it rained. Autumn brides love to live on the wild side. On the one hand, you can get absolutely gorgeous weather. The clean, cold air acts like a natural blush, and the bright, bold colors of the outside scenery act as a magical backdrop for your union. But even the potential of torrential rain is romantic. Breakfast at Tiffanys and Sweet Home Alabama are just two examples. How many movies have you seen when the two lovers reunite in the rain?
Autumn is about extremes. Its about Indian Summer and the cold cold onset of winter, and I think this is one of the rare times where its fine to play with color and theme clashes at your wedding.
Fall inspired colors include the rich golden tones that are reminiscent of wheat, pumpkins, squash, and oranges. You can also introduce the lovely evergreens or the wealth of earthy tones from warm reddish browns to dark rich chocolate. Blue grays for stormy days and a smidge of the white of first snowfall are also not out of place.
Tumultuous might sound like a bad word, but it also signals passion and spice. Can you imagine fall without cinnamon, apple pie, nutmeg, and cloves? It makes me feel all warm and tingly inside. Make your fall wedding exciting with splashes of color! You can add small touches of color to add much needed warmth or add bold splashes to suggest all the richness of a harvest wedding with a cozy winter up ahead!
