Sad Bride

For most brides, their wedding day is one of the happiest days of their lives. That is why many are shocked to find that immediately after the wedding dress has been hung up and photographs printed, there is a feeling that something is missing.

Many women who have planned every aspect of their wedding and gone through the incredible highs and lows emotionally, in addition to the intoxicating combination of preparing, celebrating, designing, and social engineering of the entire wedding – still want to re-create those feelings after everything is said and done. Wedding planning can be very creative in a way that many of us don’t normally recognize, therefore the excitement achieved from it can be addicting. For months (or even years) you work through challenges and obstacles and then finally it pays off. You have a beautiful wedding.

The reason you may feeling this way is, because, you miss being that busy. You will need to find something that will take up your time. Here are some ways to shake off those post-wedding blues.

Set Goals

Be it a day, weekly, monthly or yearly – have goals that you set for yourself and work towards, following through. You already proved to yourself that you can do/plan anything with the success of your wedding, now its time to focus solely on you (and your new husband)

Career

If you are one of those people who works well with less down time, than focusing on your career would be a positive thing. Throwing yourself into projects, that novel you have been kicking around, or getting that promotion is all positive ways to keep your mind occupied.

Entertain

Perhaps, what you miss so much is the actual planning itself. For some, they love to entertain. You can explore this either in the home-making sense or as a career planning parties/events. Throw weekly parties for your friend, if you like hostessing and entertaining. Or look into focusing energy into a full-blown career in wedding planning or the like. You may just miss that feeling of working towards one very big goal.

Relax – You Married The Man Of Your Dreams

Chilling out and coasting for a little while isn’t half bad considering the stress you incurred while planning your wedding. It feels good to take a load off and just enjoy the company of your new husband; basking in the glow of newly married life. If you have trouble relaxing, think about signing up for a yoga class with your man – think of it as just another way to bond with each other, while releasing unwanted stress.
