Covering Up for The Autumn Bride

Renee GownIt's that time of the year again where the warm summer sun is making its back into hiding to make way for the cold winter breeze and the leaves are changing and falling to produce a stunning backdrop of brown and orange hues.

No surprise there then if you've always wanted to host your own wedding reception in autumn. But while winter's harsh, bone-chilling weather is not quite here yet, it doesn't mean that it can't get rather cold in autumn. That isn't to say that you have to bundle up in fur coats or woolly jackets and have them detract from your own stunning wedding dress. Enter, autumn's fashion forward cover-ups for the chic bride!

With autumn, the transition between summer and winter, the weather is still welcoming enough for an outdoor wedding yet a little too chilly on certain days so a shawl or a jacket that isn't too thick may come in handy while you say “I do” or while you're busy entertaining your wedding guests.

Before you head out to shop till you drop for that special outerwear, keep in mind the design or concept of your dress. If it helps, you could bring along your wedding dress so as to have a clearer picture of what will look best with your wedding dress. If you happen to be having your dress tailor made and would like to have your outerwear constructed as such, then head to the same tailor or designer to discuss the creation of a shawl or jacket that will go along well with your wedding dress.

The Renee Gown, pictured above, would look gorgeous with a simple and chic wrap or muff.
