Five Great Winter Wedding Gifts

By Anna K.
December 23, 2011

Perhaps it's because this weekend, the temperatures finally plunged into the thirties, but I can't stop thinking about warm winter gifts. Here are five great wedding gifts that are also budget-friendly.

1. Monogrammed Robe and Slipper Set

I love Mr. and Mrs./ His or Her themed items. A plush robe and fuzzy slippers aren't half bad at all. And they're way better than tea towels.

2. A Throw Blanket

This small blanket is perfect for cuddling in on the couch. If you've been over to the lucky couple's digs recently, you can pick a blanket with a pattern that matches the decor. If not, pick a nice neutral color like tan or brown that goes with most colors.

3. Pay for a Date or Two

Buy a few tickets for something the couple loves doing together. This could be a couple gift certificates to the couples' favorite restaurants and movie theaters or museum. If they love baseball, got them a pair that are redeemable all season. Therefore, they can continue going on dates during their first year.

4. Wine

While not the best gift for couples that don't drink at all, this is a cute gift for even for couples who like even the occasional glass of wine. Choose a bottle for them to drink now and another that will be great in five or ten years. Attach notes to each bottle wishing them happiness to their future anniversary.

5. Some of Your Favorite Things

Pick things that the couple has loved in the past. While a scrapbook is one way to save up the memories, a recipe book of favorite dishes or some of their favorite DVDs.
