Non-Alcoholic Alternatives

Wine Glass

Many people choose not to drink. While you always should carry one or two alcohol alternatives -- the most popular are mocktails and soda--, if a significant number of your wedding party will be laying off the booze, here are some of fun non-alcoholic alternatives.

1. Water

Water should always be in abundant supply, but have you thought about also offering mineral or carbonated varieties. You can flavor water with cucumbers, basil, lemon, or orange slices.

2. Juice

Since it's summer, a lot of fruits are in season. Juice blends, smoothies, and lemonade are all tasty drink choices. For tropical or beach wedding, virgin pina coladas are awesome.

3. Coffee and Tea

I love coffee and espresso! While it's usually an after dinner treat, for other coffee or tea lovers, I don't see why you don't have to serve it during the meal. Some couples even create lovely coffee and tea bars that is stocked with as much blends and machinery as typical bar.

4. Non-alcoholic Beer/ Wine

Technically, there's no such thing as non-alcoholic beer and wine. However, they are legally bound to have less than .05% alcohol by volume. In comparison, beer is usually four to six percent.

5. Soda

There's sodas that come in cans, but there are a DIY sodas with fun syrups and floats!
