Spa at Home

Wedding planning is hard work! But who has time to go all the way to the spa? Whether you're unwinding by yourself after a long day, or having a few hours of downtime with the girls or your Mr. Right, we've included some tips and tricks to feel your best with household ingredients.
The Mani-Pedi
Show your hands and feet some tender loving care by exfoliating them with a salt or sugar scrub, and then slathering them with your favorite cream. You can brighten tired nails by soaking them first in lemon juice, but if you want the extra strength treatment, try rubbing your nails first with the pulpy insides of a lemon and follow it up with a soak in water with a few dashes of epson salt.
Scrubs
Our favorite all-purpose scrub is just a half a cup of sugar, a few tablespoons of olive oil, and a few tablespoons of water. You can also add a few drops of your favorite essential oil or half a vanilla bean for a scented scrub. This makes enough for one body application. It's even gentle enough for your face, just remember to massage gently into your skin.
If your feet are particularly dry, replace the sugar with sea salt, epsom salt, or raw sugar.
Masks
Yogurt-oatmeal masks are great for all skin types and it only requires three ingredients: equal amounts of yogurt (the unflavored stuff), oatmeal, and honey.
Hair Mask
Adored by college students all over America, simply heat three tablespoons of a neutral oil like olive oil in a water bath. When it's warm but not scalding -- dab it to the inside of your wrist to check -- massage it into your hair and add extra to your ends. Wrap your head in a warm, moist towel and chill out for half an hour. Wash it out and enjoy softer, smoother, and shinier hair!
So, get ready, set, and light some candles. After a few of these beauty treatments, you'll feel relaxed and refreshed and you'll look and feel healthier too! You can combine this with a glass of wine or spa staple like flavored water or white tea.
