We know that wedding planning can be a blast, but it also leave you utterly exhausted. When you totally need to chill but are still obsessing about weddings, here are five wedding scenes from movies that you can watch your girlfriends or your fiance.
Four Weddings and a Funeral
This romantic comedy has got it all! You and your fiance will laugh until you cry. Charles, played by Hugh Grant, keeps on running into the perfect American girl, but on the way, he encounters a table of horrible ex's, an officiant who can't seem to remember the couple's names (played by Mr. Bean aka Rowan Atkinson), and, of course, someone gets ditched at the altar.
Rachel Getting Married
This gritty dark comedy shows Anne Hathaway's acting chops and features a gorgeous Indian-themed wedding. Hathaway plays a recovering addict who is released from rehab to attend her sister's wedding. A potent drama about overcoming personal demons and love-hate family relations, it will definitely make your own wedding planning process seem more like purgatory than hell.
It also has one of the most awkward toasts in the history of toasts!
The Godfather
Did you know this dude's favorite begins? In fact, there's like three weddings, although it's often overshadowed by the notorious christening scene. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you need to see it.
My favorite wedding is the Sicilian wedding. The bride has a gorgeous short veil!
The Wedding Banquet
A Chinese-American gay man is pressured to marry by his parents, so he creates an arrangement with a Chinese artist in need of a green card. All seems to be going well until his parents decide to come and attend the wedding.
The two most memorable scenes is the hilarious city hall wedding scene when there are major miscommunication issues between the couple and the courthouse official. And then there's the over the top wedding banquet.
Shrek
Shrek is a tongue-in-cheek riff on Disney movies so there's all the glamour of a princess wedding, although you’ll see that the swamp wedding is way more fun!
Some honorable mentions includes Bride Wars, Man-of-Honor, Bridesmaids, Cinderella, and the Little Mermaid (awesome wedding dress!).
