Earrings are a no-brainer for brides, but choosing a style that flatters is easier said than done. One way to select earrings is according to your face shape.
A simple rule to follow: length adds length, and width adds width.
If you have a round or heart-shaped face, go for earrings that slim and dangling. If you wear your hair down, dangling earrings are especially romantic.
If your face is long, chunky earrings are best. For the oblong face, you face is narrow and appears too long. To best balance out this face shape, choose chandelier earrings to add width to your face and make it appear fuller.
For square faces, you want to select very feminine earrings to soften the strong jaw line. Teardrop earrings of the right length (usually right at your chin will soften that strong jaw line). Don't pick earrings with well defined edges such as star earrings because it will exaggerate the squareness of your face and make you look less feminine.
When in doubt, a simple pair of diamond or crystal stud earrings is a great choice. This jewelry staples looks great with just about any gown and any face shape.
You might choose to skip the earrings if you're wearing a large tiara or necklace.
