Back Zipper Wedding Dresses

In earlier centuries, back closures on female clothing was originally a sign of wealth, as wearing such a garment implied that the bride could afford servants to help her dress. Today, closures are still associated with more formal clothing. The back-zipper is placed in the middle of the back of the bodice, and runs from the waist to the top of the bodice.
