SimplyBridal started with a basic idea of helping the bride, not the middleman. After hearing from countless friends and family members about the high cost of wedding dresses, our founder Lawrence Ng decided to start his own bridal company that met the needs of his loved ones: outstanding quality in fabric, materials, and fit without the inconvenience and costs of traditional bridal boutiques and retailers.
Lawrence was well-situated to make this change. His technological expertise, business acumen, and unique vision contributed to the phenomenal success of Oversee, a company he co-founded at 21. It was ranked the third fastest growing private business in Los Angeles by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2007. He was also named a winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Greater Los Angeles program in the technology category the same year.
After receiving a 150 million dollar investment, he sold most of his interest, and assembled a team that included graduates from the best business schools in America, and a host of technologically savvy and passionate individuals. Our designer has over twelve years of experience in the fashion industry, and has designed for BCBGMAXAZRIA in Los Angeles, and Suzi Chin for Maggy Boutique in New York. She holds a BFA degree in apparel design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She sources only the finest fabrics and embellishments for SimplyBridal, and sets the same high quality standards that are demanded by the New York fashion scene.
