Summer breezes, warm air, sun kissed skin. These are only a few of the reasons couples pick summer for their nuptials. Couples want to take advantage of the amazing weather, so an outdoor wedding is almost a no brainer. And with destination weddings becoming increasingly more popular, top vacation spots are becoming booked solid with wedding parties. So where to go? Let's take a look at some of the unique summer wedding locations. Pack up your wedding dress and get going!
Vancouver Island
Also known as "Canada's Paradise on the Pacific," Vancouver Island is a splendid choice. Think lush scenery, rain forests, beaches, rocky shorelines, and incredible vistas. It's also easy to get to, and a lot of venues are budget friendly.
Costa Rica
With almost two thirds of Costa Rica's borders consisting of beaches, this might be the perfect place to hold a sandy, sun-kissed wedding. Imagine your wedding dress billowing in the ocean breeze as you walk down the beach. Feel your toes in the sand. It can't really get any better than that.
Paso Robles
Located in wine country, Paso Robles is one of California's fastest growing wine regions, with 170 wineries within a 40-mile radius. If you want to avoid the crowds of Napa, but want that rustic, beautiful feel of a winery, then consider Paso Robles.
Your Backyard
OK, OK, this is not a destination. But what is more unique (and sentimental) than your own backyard? Not only is this choice easy on the wallet, you can also transform your backyard into anything. Make it as personal as you want. Want a formal, black tie affair? Backyard BBQ? Hawaiian luau? You are the boss!
