Five Fun Things to Do

If you've chosen a destination wedding to Paris, here are some things to explore while you're there.
1. Saint Chapelle
The Sainte-Chapelle or 'Holy Chapel' is in the courtyard of the royal palace on the Île de la Cité (now part of a later administrative complex known as La Conciergerie). While you will have to go through a security check, I guarantee that it is SO worth it. It contains a truly breathtaking collection of stained glass windows, and less popular and crowded than the Notre Dame.
2. Love Paddocks
The Pont des Arts, Passerelle Léopold-Sédar-Senghor, and the Pont de l'Archevêché bridges are covered with locks. Legend says that if two lovers place a lock on the bridge and throw the key in the water, their love will be eternal.
3. Montmartre
The backdrop of the cute oddball romantic comedy Amelie and the Ewan McGregor and Nicole Kidman blockbuster, Moulin Rouge, this is a lovely place to spend a day wandering. Get inspired by great 19th century artists like Van Gogh and Gauguin right before you tie the knot.
4. Eiffel Tower
Paris isn't Paris without the Eiffel Tower. Built for the World Fair in 1889, it has become one of the universal symbols of France. While we at SimplyBridal don't think the view is all that pretty on an overcast day, we totally recommend that you snap some photos with "La dame de fer" or the "iron lady" in the background to show the folks back home.
5. Seine River Cruise
Although a bit overrated, it's gives a great overview for first time visitors to Paris.
